To improve the quality of human resources in education and teaching, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo launched the Study Abroad Accelerated Preparation Program for young lecturers who passed the CPNS in 2018, 2019, and 2020. In its implementation, this program is supported by the Technical Executing Unit for Language (UPT Bahasa) of UNG, especially in providing exceptional training to the participants.

This event will take place on Saturday, December 11th, 2021, in Ballroom 2 of the TC Damhil UNG, from 10.30 AM to 13.30 PM Indonesia Central Standard Time.

This event was attended by the Rector of UNG Dr. Ir. H. Eduart Wolok, S.T., M.T., IPM as the program initiator, and the Vice Rector III of UNG Prof. Karmila Machmud, S.Pd, M.A., Ph.D as the chairperson. In addition, it is also attended by several deans, lecturers, and teaching staff who are graduated from various universities and would later train the program participants. The deans shared their experiences during their overseas study and conveyed their hopes and prayers to the participants.

On his remarks, the Rector emphasized his vision to increase the ranking of UNG to the upper-middle level. In realizing it, UNG needs more lecturers with doctoral qualifications, especially overseas graduates for the UNG excellent and competitive.

As the facilitator, UPT Bahasa UNG started its duty by conducting a placement test on November 15th - 18th, 2021, which 69 lecturers attended from various faculties at UNG. The test results are the basis for mapping participants into 4 groups of classes in preparation for the English Proficiency Test. Group 1 with 12 participants will be in the IELTS preparation class. Group 2 with 17 participants will take the TOEFL ITP preparation class. Group 3 divided into 2 classes and includes 11 participants each class will be in the TOEFL preparation class. Whereas 18 participants in group 4 will be in the General English class.

This program will start on Monday, December 13th, 2021 with a meeting frequency of 2 times a week and will last for 2 to 3 months.
